Nowadays if you listen to just about any country music radio station, nearly all you will hear is songs from the past couple years. Most stations, especially those in big cities, are owned by big corporations whose management is trying to get the youngest possible audience. Accordingly, much of their music sounds more like 1970s rock than country. The performers are selected mostly on the basis of what they look like rather than what they sound like. Youth appeal and sex appeal come first. Musical talent doesn't count for much.

At CAVE-FM, we are interested in musical quality, not attracting the kids. So we dig deep into the CAVE's record library which includes thousands of songs that you won't hear anywhere else.
